I have had a a zoo pass to the Roger Williams Zoo for over a year now. My family loves this zoo. It is located in Providence Rhode Island, right off interstate 95.

The Roger Williams zoo is small, relatively inexpensive, well maintained and has a number of newly renovated exhibits.  The elephant area has been expanded considerably and the giraffe area is a bit bigger.  The zoo is easy to navigate after a bit (they do give you a map) and is really marvelous in the winter because you can get in for 1/2 price if it's cold enough and some of the animals are inside where you can get much closer to them than in warm weather.  My favorite is the giraffe exhibit.  It is so cozy inside with them, watching them interact with one another and with the keepers.  The keepers obviously care a great deal about their charges.  The zoo is also part of the national Species Survival program and they work closely with other zoos especially on breeding programs. This week a baby giraffe was born dead--in the wild both mother and child would have died.  We need to be grateful that Amber was saved.  Zoos are important to the survival of many animal species and RWZ is doing a great job doing their part.
