Remington MicroFlex Razor: No more stubble

by poneyby Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 1000, Dec 11 '00
Pros: Nice smooth shave. Easy and fast use.
Cons: None so far
I finally got around to getting a new razor a couple weeks ago. I have been needing one for awhile now. My old one was not doing a very good job anymore. I saw this razor on sale in a flyer and knew that Remington was a good name and brand.

I...

No more Bleeding!

by Trouto , Oct 10 '00
Pros: Cheap, smooth shave
Cons: not as fast as razors
A few weeks ago, I was in the market for a shaver. Personally, I cannot use razors, as I tend to slash myself every time I use them, no matter how 'safe' they say they are. So I went for electric. Remington is a brand I know is good, having previously...

close basic shave

by shr2 , Jan 05 '00
Pros: Close shave low price
Cons: small size and cleaning it could be easier
I very much like my Remington R835.It gives a very close shave and operates very quietly. The price is also very reasonable for what you are getting. It is a bit small for my hand and i wish it came with one of those flex cords instead of a straight cord,...

the best shave for 50 dollars

by TGJERICHO , May 11 '00
Pros: close shave
Cons: cord in way irratation
This is a good shave for the money that you use for this shaver. I bought this one about 5 months ago and it is still shaving close. You never will have to change the blade. It is easy to clean. It has the side burn shaver, and trimmer. It runs on...

Safe bet, quality at a low cost

by bobafeet , Jan 23 '03
Pros: Cheap quality shaving and low irritation for sensitive skins.
Cons: May cause some irritation for extra sensitive skins. Not a rechargeable.
This works great for the bucks and if you don't care about rechargeables. I prefer the 3 wheels rather than the flat electric razors. It comes with a cheap average travel case. Not the easiest cleaning, but you'd have to clean it anyway, wouldn't you? My...

Medieval torture device of the new millennium.

by Annie_Crane Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 1000, Oct 20 '00
Pros: less expensive
Cons: pulls, hurts, does not leave a soft, smooth surface.

Never again!

One of the worst presents I could ever have bought my husband. This gift did not say, "I love you, Happy Birthday." It said, "Here, take it and be happy you got something."

When he first opened...

Good value for your money

by garyschnid , Jul 19 '09
Pros: Inexpensive for the quality of the shave as long as the beard isn't too long.
Cons: Trimmer is worthless.  Razor pulls instead of cuts with long wiskers.
I have owned this razor for several years, and it has held up well.  For the money spent, it works well.  This past week the hair cup nut retaining clips broke.  This is the nut that holds the blades in place.  Parts are available for ...

Excellent no frills razor

by bplvb , Dec 14 '00
Pros: Inexpensive, great shave
Cons: Not cordless
A couple of months ago the Remington cordless razor I've used nearly every day for eight years died. The battery just wouldn't take charge anymore. Eight years is a heck of a lot longer than I expect anything with rechargeable batteries to last. I was...

Older Remington better

by Fawn_cat , Dec 20 '99
Pros: I do not recommend it
Cons: I do not recommend it
I prefer the older Remington with the triple head and 2 speed motor.

I wish they would make that one again as I have found with the Remington Micros that they shave to close to my skin and cause irratations on my face.

So, I am...

so-so shaver

by R_Winstead , Oct 04 '00
Pros: cheap
Cons: doesn't get close enough
The Remington R835 series is an in expense razor but as with most thing you get what you pay for. This electric razor knocks of the big stuff but leaves that stubbly feeling that neither my girlfriend or I like. It just doesn't cut close enough to...

Anyone ever shave with a dull knife?

by maximus1977 , Mar 22 '01
Pros: Less expensive and is corded, so never needs charging.
Cons: Pulls hair, and has blade vibration.
I am not trying to say that this razor is totally worthless, I am satisfied with it's performance for the price paid. One advantage is that it is corded, so it is always ready. But with this you loss freedom of movement. This is not a lift and cut model,...

Built tough

by mbcube , Dec 20 '99
Pros: long battery life,
Cons: expensive head replacements, almost 1/2 of total unit!
Most guys detest shaving. We do it out of necessity. My objective is to shave with little interruption on my time. I find the Remington shaver fits my busy schedule to the T. I keep mine in the car and shave at red lights on the way to work. It also...

I strongly advise against buying...
by dellar_dt3000 ,Dec 05 '02
I strongly advise against buying this product. I purchased a R-835 from a local department store, and it only worked for 2-days (after that, it wouldn't power up). I took it back and got a replacement. The replacement lasted 2weeks and then the same problem occured - it just wouldn't turn on. I lost my warranty (I couldn't believe it could happen twice) so I couldn't get it repaired. I believe it is a defective product.
