The 1996 Tahoe is available in four models-Two-Door 2WD and 4WD; Four-Door 2WD and 4WD. New for 1997, the Tahoe features a front passenger airbag and speed sensitive power steering. The (Base) model is available in two door, 2WD only. Both 2-door and 4-door models are available in LS and LT trim packages. The Tahoe is designed for buyers who are active in outdoor recreation and in labor industries. An optional trailering equipment package is available on all models. A 6.5 Liter V8 turbo diesel engine is only available on the 2-door, 4WD model only. Other available options include leather seats and upgraded stereo equipment.
