Looking for a cheap airline ticket? Well, students holding American Express Cards need not look any further! American Express has teamed up with Continental Airlines in order to offer students fabulously cheap airline tickets. Depending on the mileage, you can get a round-trip ticket for as low as $119! It's out of control.
Since I live in Alaska, home for me is about 4,500 miles away. I'm not going home for Thanksgiving because it's over $800 for a ticket, and I just don't have that money. Since it's a holiday, there is a blackout period. However, I'm able to leave for New York on 12/14 and return on 1/5, so I totally avoid any blackout dates. The cost of my ticket? A mere $249, everything included. You can imagine how incredibly excited I am!!!
What do you have to do in order to get this fare? Call Continental Airlines at 1-800-426-5600 and give them the code AXMD. not only do you get a low fare, but you get to bring a friend for the same price! You can fly up to 4 times for this special price per year.
And, that's not all! American Express and Continental Airlines are offering a special discount on international flights. I'm not exactly familiar with this part of the program, but I do know that you can fly for the discounted price offered up to 10 times to international destinations. Just call the same number listed above and give them the code AXFI.
You have to show the airline valid proof of student status, such as your student ID card or a tuition bill. for further details about this program, you can call American Express Student Services at 1-800-582-5823, visit the American Express website at www.americanexpress.com/student or get in touch with Continental Airlines at 1-800-426-5600. This offer ends on September 1, 2001, so be sure to get some traveling done by then to take advantage of this.
