I'm an avid cook & crafter. I've been crocheting for nearly years; I'm still "dabbling" in knitting & sewing. I have three academic degrees in English & archaeology.
I'm married to a wonderful man -- a cop & former US Marine. Both of us are from Texas.
I am rather incapacitated by a number of illnesses including fibromyalgia, CFS, and diabetes; I have other illnesses that affect me to a lesser degree. Because of my inability to work, I love to craft (when my hands will let me), read (all sorts of fiction: Koontz, Cornwell, J. Kellerman & F. Kellerman, McCullough, Caldwell, Heinlein, & Simmons), cook (when I can stand long enough to make a meal, I love to make Cajun, Chinese, and family favorites from my childhood), and play on the computer. I also am a film enthusiast and love all sorts of movies, including newer hits and old classics.
I love to travel when we can afford it; I love New Orleans and Las Vegas! I also hope to visit Australia, Ireland, and Mesoamerica at some point.
We can't have two-footed kids at the moment, so we have several "furbabies" instead (cats & ferrets) -- they are all my pride and joy in the absence of the larger, more talkative sort. :)
