Hello everyone out there in Epinions Land. Reading this bio will most likely bore you into twitching fits, but if you must proceed, do so at your own risk!
I'm an everyday run-of-the-mill wench who loves cats, horseback riding, astrology, the Discovery & History channels, woodworking, poetry, good music, fine cheesecake, and on special occasions a psychotropic drug or two. (JUST KIDDING~!!!!!!!!) Most of all I love my husband and children and am actually the luckiest woman alive to have them.
My dislikes? (With only few exceptions, I really don't hate much of anything or anyone.) Hmmm...lets see here...I really don't like talk shows, lobster, most alcoholic drinks, the vast majority of movies (except the cheesy Mel Brooks kinda shows most people loathe), Slim Fast shakes, and most of all people who sit in judgment of others.
As for my Epinions? You may like them, love them, dislike them or hate them. It's all good. When you praise something I have written, of COURSE it honors me and makes me want to reciprocate. When you criticize my work, if you are kind, honest and worthy of my respect I will take what you say to heart and may even modify my opinion based on your recommendations. This I do to show you that you have made me think, re-think, or question my views. This is a VERY good thing, and something I will respect you for greatly.
When you are insulting, ranting, raving, rude and/or judgmental your criticism has about as much effect on me as Clinton's indiscretions with his interns. In other words…NONE. I could care less. Rant, rattle, rage, call names, point fingers, and chew me out until the sky falls down. NH me until your finger cramps from clicking the mouse. It all falls on deaf ears. Rude people are invisible to me. Period. Occasionally I will respond if I feel like it, but never make the mistake of thinking you can hurt me because you don't agree with me or call me names. I won't run away with my tail tucked between my legs because somebody did not agree with what I wrote. This is Epinions, only one letter away from Opinions. And as we all know, Opinions are like…well…you know! Everyone has one. And who's to say one is better or more valid than another.
I can honestly say that no matter how badly I disagree with another persons work, I have never left a mean-spirited comment just ingratiate myself with others that might hold my opinion. I do not need to belittle others to feed my own sense of self-worth.
Be kind to each other, people. It's the only thing we have left in this world.
