I have had an extended writer's block--I hope to be writing on this site again soon. By late December I hope to post the top 100 quotes of the decade. Epinions should have a lot of quotes, especially from the 2001-04 period.

If you haven't written an epinion in over two years, I've had to remove you from my web of trust. If you write another one, let me know, and I'll put you back on my WOT. There are many of you who will be added to my WOT soon--I should have added you sooner.

I update my quote list every Friday, and I always hope that epinionators will have quotes on the top 40 (or at least on the top 100) on their b-days. The following Epinions members have had quotes on my top 100 on their birthdays--one asterisk means the person had at least one quote in the top 40, two means the top 10, and three denote that the quote was at #1. If your b-day falls on a Friday soon, let me know, so you can have a quote on my top 100. You don't have to tell me the year--just the month and day. If you're not on this list, it means (a) I didn't know you yet, (b) I didn't know your b-day, so there was no quote by you on the chart on your b-day, (c) hasn't fallen on a Friday since before Epinions began, or (d) You had a quote on the chart on your b-day, but I didn't/don't know your birthday, so it isn't listed here.

Today America had a date with destiny. Who will win this critical election? It seems like the Red Sox vs. the Yankees all over again--but with much more serious ramifications. Voting is your duty as an american citizen. Please exercise it!

My web of trust is like a pitcher's duel--it usually takes me a while to add people to the WOT. Conversely, the number of people who trust me is also small. I will keep you on my WOT if you have written something in the last two years. I have had to remove some epinionators from my WOT because more than two years had passed since their most recent epinion. However, if that person resumes writing, he or she will probably be returned to my WOT.

Congratulations to the following epinionators for being the most successful quote people from this site:
2000
The top Epinions quote person for 2000 was also the first person from this site to reach my top 40, top 10, and #1, AinsleyJo. She reached #1 with her very first quote, a mere two months after I had met her! Good job!
2001
Although many people from Epinions made the top 10 in 2001, the top overall Epinions quote act was someone who did not have one top 10 quote that year. However, because she had five quotes make my top 40 that year (more than anybody else)and had two quotes reach #11, each staying on my top 100 for over five months, this person accululated enough points to be the top quote person, Colleenmf. I especially enjoy when she writes about science and histry.
2002
The top Epinions quote person of 2002 was on my weekly top 100 all but three weeks in 2002 and placed six quotes on my top 40. She is an upbeat, warm-hearted individual who has hosted writeoffs to help fellow epinionators in need. She is Diverpam.

88 Freedom is something that we've all fought for in our lives. Whether it was for the freedom to live as one had the right to as a human. Or for the freedom to reach for your dreams when all your life you've been held down-Bluekennedy, 2-15
84 My son is still under the impression that the Dinosaurs will come back when we have a large Earthquake. Living in California he has felt two this past summer where the epicenter was very close to our location. The ground will shake and tremble with cracks possibly opening in the ground beneath-bonniesayers, 2-15-02 2
83 Now, do a little research on Roosevelt and you'll see that this man accomplished a lot during his term. For crying out loud, he negotiated an end to the destructive Russo-Japanese war and
earned the Nobel Peace Prize!-Great Pilgrim, 2-15-02 2

77 This is a light, 10% alcohol by volume sparkling Burgundy wine from New York State that pours with a solid, red color and a lively amount of carbonation. The wine is naturally fermented in the bottle (the traditional method)-411, 2-8-02 4

58 Those with enough charisma and drive are the ones that reach the highest

don't want the job at all!)-QuinnElaine, 2-12-02 4
57 Still I wonder if she went through a "wormhole" or beyond the speed of light, as it appeared to her stunned eyes and gasping heart. Could it be she was just hallucinating about the tunnels she went through, the stars or planets she found, her dead father-Jankp 5
56 It is a religion, though, that is blamed for the nuclear disaster that plunged the world into chaos and its practitioners still face that hatred-Redlass, 1-25 5

32 Like most magazines the first 8 pages are just advertisements, then a few reviews, then more advertisements, then more advertisements, then a review or two, and more advertisements-shoplmart 6
28 If you are like me, you HATE telemarketers. You're sleeping soundly at noon on Sunday, or trying to have a nice, romantic dinner of wings and beer and *RING* - there they are, interrupting

It was about this time last year that I came across Epinions.com for the first time. I was looking for writing-oriented web sites, and Epinions piqued my interest. I had no idea that I would end up writing 88 opinions within the next year. Though I got off to a slow start, producing only three opinions in my first six weeks, I wrote a whole bunch in August.
Unfortunately, because I was a naive newbie, I didn't rate too many other epinions until September. However, I consider reading and rating others' opinions just as important as writing opinions of my own.
Here are my Epinions awards for the past year:
First epinionator to make the top 40 of my quote chart: AinsleyJo, Sept. 15, 2000
(AinsleyJo was also the first to make my top 10 and #1, as she reached the summit on Oct. 12). Her first anniversary at this site is June 22, and she writes a lot of good stuff.
People currently on my top 100 chart include Colleenmf, Bonniesayers, Pogomom, Pambo, Korova, Mark Stevens, Ian Grant, DrLolipop, Brotherman, Pandemonium, Rosalyce, Chezon, Kristinafh.
I think that learning from other people is an integral part of the epinionating process.

The following epinionators have quotes on my top 100 (the week of May 25, 2001):
29th Candidate (#8)
KCFemme (#33 and #93)
Pandemonium (#34)
Colleenmf (#40 and #58)
Ian Grant (#59)
Rosalyce (#61)
Paramendra (#70)
Drlolipop (#87)
Dr j008 (#96)
The number in parentheses is the rank of the quote.
Congratulations to all of you--you all display a lot of insight in your writing. The same goes for a lot of other epinionators as well..

I have learned a lot from fellow epinionators over the last few months. A lot of people from Epinions have been showing up on my top 100 quote list. The quote chart is a lot like a song chart, except I rank quotes each week from 1 to 100. About ten new quotes debut each week.
Epinionators who have made my top 100 have included AinsleyJo, QuinnElaine, Greeneyedcowby (sp), JnbMoore, 29th Candidate, Janesbit, Shantel575, KCFemme, Damino, Pogomom, Martytdx, DrLolipop, and more. AinsleyJo was the first to reach the top 10 of my top 100.

I am finally back writing and reading opinions after a gap of almost three months. I was unable to access the site for a long time, but I am back. I hope to write opinions you all will enjoy. I went almost three months without an opinion, but I am back on track--I finally reached Epinion #70. It took me a LONG time to get from #60 to #70!
My first epinion was on June 23, 2000;
my tenth was on Aug. 10, 2000;
my 20th was on Aug. 20;
my 30th was on Sept. 10;
my 40th was on Sept. 28;
my 50th was on Oct. 9;
and my 60th was on Nov. 5.
However, I just now reached that elusive 70th opinion. At my current rate, I won't reach #80 until Sept. 12 of this year. However, I am hoping for quality rather than sheer quantity.
On my current top 100 quote list, there are quotes by Shantel 575, AinsleyJo (two), Brenda Metcalf, Keith Pruitt, Ian Grant, Bgoodday, 29th Candidate, Pogomom, Martytdx, and KCFemme. Look for quotes by others to appear soon.
Congratulations to AinsleyJo, QuinnElaine, and Shantel575! You have been the only three to make my top 10!
If you like being on my quote list (or you want to know more about the chart, let me know by e-mailing me at bobbyrua@yahoo.com. I have left comments on the opinions where the quotes have appeared. A lot have made my top 20. I have learned a lot from other epinionators. If any of you have quotes from your opinions you'd like to see on my top 100, let me know--I want the quotes to be ones you like as well as I like.
