My name is Chad, I live in Western Kentucky. I was born in 1976, which makes me 24 years old as of July. Currently, I am working in my family greenhouses business. My hope is to renovate the family's 1900's Wheat House into a darkroom/studio and guest bedroom. I hope to get into freelance photography doing black and white landscapes like the late Ansel Adams and to work for a Christian Recording Agency doing photography and graphic design for their cds.
Over the last few years, Christian music has been a great ministry to my life. Listening to Keith Green, Steve Camp, Rebecca St James and others have shown me that there are still modern day brothers and sisters who are devoted to the Lord Jesus Christ.
Being that my nickname on Eopinions is chooseChrist and that you came to my Eopinions profile page, I figure its only right to tell you how you can choose Christ. The more I grow, the more I see how dependent on Jesus Christ's atonement and God's grace to help me make it through. In order to choose Christ, you must realize a few things: 1) all have sinned, and as such are spiritually away from God, 2) God loved us so much that He sent Jesus, His only Begotten Son, to reconcile us back to Him. This could only be done by Jesus putting on flesh and becoming human, living like us, with the same temptations, and the same pains, but living sinless, without blame. No other person living or who has ever lived could be without blame, even if they lived a total sinless life, because they were still born spiritually bankrupt because of Adam and Eve, but because Jesus was born to a virgin, sexually pure, and because the Holy Spirit came over Mary, she was able to have a spotless and sinless-birthed son, Jesus. Jesus spent 33 years on this earth, as one of us. Though He was Heavenly, He took on our flesh, and came down to meet us on our level. He was faced with many sorrows, the Bible said, and He was likewise tempted in every way as us. He performed many miracles after His baptism, when the Holy Spirit dwelled among Him. Everything He done and said was what the Father told Him to do. When Jesus was 33, He was offered up as a sacrifice for all of humanity, because of their sin. He was offered up as a pure and spotless Lamb sacrifice). The story would end there if that was it. If Christ Jesus had just died. But He didn't just die. God the Father resurrected Christ Jesus, three days after His death. Because of this resurrection, anyone who believes on Christ Jesus and names Him as Lord and Saviour of their life will be saved and has the resurrection power; thus able to be changed and live a holy life. You don't have to have the whole-knowledge of the Bible in order to have a relationship with this Son of God and Son of man, you don't have to belong to a church, you don't have to change your whole life around right now, just your heart! But what you must do is to cry out before God, don't hold back, He knows everything about you, and still died for you! Believe what Christ Jesus done for you. Chances are, you already know you have sinned, without having to hear me say it. Everyday I am made more aware of my sins and past sins. You don't have to be a theologian. Just humble yourself, under the weight of your failures. Realize that you have an emptiness, within you, because your heart is away from God, because of sin. And tell God you need Him to change you and to reconcile you to Him through His Son's atonement. Believe that God has called you to Him, in this moment, and that you haven't done anything that Christ Jesus' atonement can't cover. And finally, pray (talk to God), you can pray similar to this. "Jesus, I know I have sinned. I know I am away from God. I want to be connected back to God, I want forgiveness--Your forgiveness! I believe in what You did for me. Please reconcile me back to God and change my heart so that it is pure and spotless. Make me like You. And fill me with Your Holy Spirit. And may all of my days be lived for You and God's glory. Amen. Pray that prayer, with all of your heart. That is what matters. God reads the words on your heart, more than your breathed words.
There are many resources out there for Christians. Keep praying for the Lord to guide you in your walk with Him after this prayer. God will put people in your life to help you! Trust Him too! Though it won't be a cake-walk, it will be a great journey. He will never live you nor forsake you. And be sure to pray and read the Bible. If you need help finding a Bible write to me, or talk to someone from a local Christian church.
