About Clarence034
|
Clarence034 is a drunk (not an alcoholic--they attend meetings), a womanizer, and a politically incorrect, socially unacceptable person. He would go so far as to say that he's a hell of a guy. Did I mention I tend to talk about myself in third person? I like to get dangerously, staggeringly drunk. It's just something I enjoy, and, yes, I can quit anytime I want. I just don't want to. I'll have a Myer's/Gosling's (Dark Rum) and Coke with anyone (within reason) at the drop of a hat (any hat). Drinking has been at the center of social interaction since man began gathering in cradles of civilization like Mesopotamia, and I, being the romantic that I am, feel compelled to help carry on that social tradition in any way I can. [See my reviews on booze (and tell Epinions to put in a section on liquors/liqueurs)--I do everything but wine (it's girly, or worse yet, French (the French are smellier than a hippy in a steam bath)] I enjoy reading, especially on Saturday afternoons, recovering from the previous night/morning. It helps me focus and regain my balance so that I can pollute myself again later on in the evening. I used to read a book a week, but seeing as how I've redeveloped a social life, I don't do so well anymore. I enjoy the works of Douglas Adams and Stephen King. I think the Dark Tower series is off the hook. Anybody else here like comic books? If you do, check out Mallrats. Great flick--'nuff said. My interest in politics stems from my (irrational??) belief that penguins are actually super-intelligent beings from some incomprehensibly far-flung part of the universe, who are in charge of a sweeping, X-File-ish conspiracy aimed at making mankind their slaves (This is because penguins believe human beings to be the most efficient pool-side bartenders in the known universe. They also love our recipes for grilled and seasoned fish.). My interest in women? You have to ask? The reasons behind my interests are different now than they were when I was younger. After all the airhead blondes I've dated, it thrills me to no end on a multitude of levels to meet a woman who is knowledgable and capable of holding an intelligent conversation. It doubles the thrills when I meet one who can do so while still being crude and laying on the innuendo. Women are wonderful, and, as far as I'm concerned, proof that there is a God. I pick the people I trust on the basis of how, and how much, they agree with me. I added Magenta321 to my list of trustees (just as an example--don't anyone else get jealous) because not only do I agree with many of her opinions, but because she has Jimmy Buffett in her CD player--sitting not too far behind Jane's Addiction. Two great bits of sound (Jimmy Buffett is the patron saint of all us Floridian, beach-living booze hounds/men of adventure). I get the impression from her opinions that she'd be one of the aforementioned women I so enjoy spending time with. I pick those I distrust in exactly the opposite manner. If your opinions are sloppily written, incoherent, or if I disagree with a great many of them, I throw down the gauntlet. I always investigate the opinions of someone who gives me the impression that they're an idiot. N' Sync's Crunk Girl found her way onto the "Distrust" that way. Anyone who displays that much in the way of unthinking herd mentality should be on everyone's "Shut your little b!+@h-@$$ up" list. Feel free to e-mail with questions, comments, and concerns. I love the sound of my own voice/look of my own words, and would be more than happy to correspond for a bit. Oh yeah, drlolipop, Schinjay, and ratsult2, Ridgesmom1, and Magenta321--you guys rock. Thanks for the support.
I'm new to the web-page building thing, and am currently having trouble with my geocities account. There are pictures of me at www.geocities.com/clarence034/index.html.
