Why am I leaving this site (that is so lame its own spelling checker doesn't recognize it's own site name)? Because you haven't a clue about copyright laws, and you rated a review " Not Helpful " that a friend asked me to post here - and you did it BEFORE you found out that I was not doing anything wrong. And because you did that, the review has been buried.
I was right about this, but people still won't change their ratings, thereby making others do the same.
Tell me, when a friend of yours recommends that you to read a particularly good London Times Book Review (maybe even brings the paper to you, or cuts the article out and sends it to you), thinking that you might be interested in the book, do you NOT read it because your friend didn't write that review? Do you decided that the review can't be useful because your friend didn't write it, but just recommended that you read the review?
Of course not. But what people have done here is exactly this. If you respected my opinions, then why didn't you respect the fact that I believe that you should read Jill's review? Was it because of the subject matter? Was it because a non-American was pointing out a sore spot in American History, just as America is about to start a war? I wonder, and that makes me very ashamed of my own American background.
You know what? This isn't worth the few pennies I might earn for posting Jill's review. So I'm removing all of my own opinions from this site and taking them where they'll be appreciated. But just so anyone who might come looking for me will know why I left, leaving Jill's review here.
I'd say it was fun, but I prefer to be honest.
