I have enjoyed working in the travel & hospitality industry for many years. My true passion is travel. I also like reading and rating a variety of other subjects on this Epinions website. I have been a member of EPINIONS since December of 2000.

NOTE: Please, if my review is helpful, rate it HELPFUL. I appreciate constructive criticism. THIS GIVES ME ROOM to IMPROVE & GROW! Some of my first reviews are not worthy of Very Helpful! (MY critique on myself) :)

An insight on why I rate the way I do: (approx 4/03)
MOST HELPFUL: Since I am currently an Advisor in the Travel category of Epinions, this is an area where I can use this "MOST HELPFUL" choice solely. I only rate "MOST HELPFUL", generally, when there is at least one or more reviews on the same subject. This allows me to have some type of comparison to support my "MOST HELPFUL" rating in all, concerning all fairness.(My thoughts, my strategy).
VERY HELPFUL: I generally use "VERY HELPFUL" for reviews in Travel & Other Categories that capture the reader from beginning to end. It does not matter if it is 2 paragraphs or 2 pages, as long as the content encompasses all areas & very helpful to the reading consumer in mind.
HELPFUL: This is a good rating. In my mind, you have reached the level of writing that will capture a readers attention , but, you could possibly add more to the piece to have it at an even higher level in the future. HELPFUL ratings, in my mind, are so very very acceptable, and an honor to have, with much potential for future writings.
SOMEWHAT HELPFUL: Truthfully, this is a one paragraph review with 3 or 4 sentences that is general and doesn't get to any point concerning the topic of the review. Or, two paragraphs with the same general content that one can pick up online. Or just a general complaint , that really doesn't tell us about the product supposed to be reviewed.

NOT HELPFUL: Intentional bias & blurbs. Not submitting useful content for the product title chosen for our reading public to help them make THAT choice. 3-4 general sentences that try to attempt to outwit the general reading public to convince it is really about the chosen topic (comical). :)
OFF TOPIC: The review has nothing to do with the chosen topic.

A message to those that I TRUST. It may take me almost immediately to rate your review, or, it may take me about 1-4 weeks to rate your review. What I'm trying to say is that..... I may be slow at times.....but..... I have never forgotten the ones I have chosen to trust. (Just a thought).

I try to put my Epinions time in at least every other day. I enjoy Epinions very much. This includes the members, the reviews, & the community. I work full time 40-50 hours a week in my day job.
