About Helen332
My name is Helen and I'm 18 yrs old and I love to surf the web, make good grades in school, peddling around with computers--be it hardware or software related. I'm in the who's who's high school students thanks to Scranton's learning direct school and my IQ, which is 180 and that's a genius. I would like a position in computers and technology, because that's where the money is mostly at. Since I don't go to school in the Topeka area, I go to school through the mail... About the school It's a school in Scranton, Pa, which is about 30 miles N. from Philadelphia. I have been at this school for over 8 months now. I should have my HS diploma by the first 3 or 4 months of the new yr, so I can find me a good job working at these places that required your HS diploma or equivalent diploma. For right now, I'm going have to take one of these low end jobs that pays $5.00 to $7.00 until I do get my HS diploma, then I can quit and find me something a little better and that pays good enough. Jobs? You are asking me if I have a FT job, right? Let me see.. I don't have one, but I will go find one starting all day today. I'm trying to find me a job by next month because I need the money so I can fix my car and the computer(add more ram, more hard drive, an better sound and video card, upgrade to Windows XP, buy a cable modem and possiblity of getting a 17" monitor). Jobs in Topeka does get full fast, so that's why I'm hurrying up and going to get me today's newspaper in 30 minutes, so I can go fill out applications starting at 8AM. Plus I can go somewhere on the weekends, if I have my car fixed already, besides sitting at home gets kind of boring. Internet expertise Started with a webtv unit back in 1998, got sick of WebTV two yrs later and decide to buy a computer. No, WebTV users, I'm not the kind to rag on webtv users, and I'm not the kind that go in usenet all day and night in my nightclothes, bragging about my computer. I don't have time for that, Iam trying to find me a job...No matter if it's FT or PT, I don't care anymore and I want to work!!!! So you should say I have been online for three yrs now. Of course, I wanted to experience the internet, I was sick of www.dot.com-this, www.dot.com-that, so I decide to try webtv because I couldn't afford a computer. Computer users, don't make assumptions all WebTV users are morons, can't afford a computer, or don't even have computer skills. I did have computer skills, I couldn't afford a computer at the time, so I got a WebTV unit! As two yrs went on, and computers got more cheaper, I decide to get a computer. I didn't care if this was a 300 or 400 mhz, it has to be a computer. So I got me a computer and have been happy since. Except for the need to fix the sound card by replacing the motherboard, I'm happy with the computer. Today, computers doesn't cost $2000, either, so get that out of your head!! You can probably buy a good computer for $600 depending on what plans you have to use the computer for, what you can afford, and if your budget allows it.
