I wish I found this website sooner so as to document my travels both for myself and others. I love to go to new places, eat local foods, and learn the culture. Each place that I've been to I really try to sit back and see beyond the tourist hype. That's why my favorite place in a "new" place is the local super (or outdoor) market. I think that you can really find out what the locals there eat, drink, and wear in these places. You also get to step out and see the real prices, instead of the inflated hotel prices.
I hope you find my opinions to be interesting and worth the read. I really try to be as honest as I possibly can, even at the risk of offending people who love the places/things I loathe. But keep in mind that I am a glass-half-full kind of person so if I do complain about things, I am taking into account of what it "could" be in that setting.
I also love traveling on bargains. I just took a trip to Paris for 6 days which cost only $660, including airfare and hotel. I keep these bargain rates in mind as well when I review the places that I stay at.

Most memorable travel experience: Tie between being at Times Square during Millenium New Year's Eve, and watching the Cataracas Waterfall (in utter awe) in Brazil.
Best Local Food I've eaten: Fried crispy spicy shrimp in Thailand, at a food stand next to the royal palace.
Next Trip Planned: Orland, Florida (Walt Disney World)
Last Trip Taken: My December was crazy busy since I went to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, then Las Vegas, then Las Vegas again, then Lake Tahoe for New Years, and then France. (I'm not rich--I found bargains!)
