I'm an audio/music guy by default, but am also involved in post-production and production for several different things from commercials to indy films. I teach audio/video at a small school on the west coast. I read a good bit, anything from comics to classic literature and the occasional fluff. I play too many games, mostly on xbox, but sometimes on my pc. I watch a ridiculous amount of movies, more than the average viewer for sure. I like most anything with substance, rather than some light-hearted fluff (but every now and then fluff is nice, innit?). I dig depressing books and film for some reason, although I'm rarely depressed myself. Though I'm highly critical, I can still appreciate good 'ole entertainment for what it is.
I play and write music, sometimes for tv, sometimes for myself. I like all kinds of music, and I mean that.... not like when you're on a date and you ask someone what they listen to and they say "oh I listen to everything," only to find out that they listen solely to Hootie and the Blowfish's first atrocity of an album on repeat in their car but didn't want to offend you with their awful taste. I like a lot of different stuff, but their is crap and their is good in every genre. I prefer the latter.
I watch some tv, but it's usually just background noise to me, although there are a few shows that I love. I like my two cats, much more than I like most people to be honest, but I haven't written all of you off just yet. Other than that, I'm pretty normal. I cook at home a lot, have a garden, and love to hang out with my friends when I can. I sometimes get bored enough to write reviews on things I read or watch or play, but you know that... don't you?
So what else?
I mean, I could just list stuff I like, but that's not really me, is it? The truth is that I've just spent three paragraphs telling you some of the stuff I do, not really who I am.... I mean, for all you know I could be a serial killer. Maybe I like to chop people who write reviews I don't like. I suppose you'll have to take that chance if you wanna know.
