My musical tastes have occasionally been described as elitist. I wouldn't go that far, but I admit I am picky when it comes to my music. My favorite bands are: The Beatles, Eric Clapton (including the various groups he has been in), Pearl Jam, Dave Matthews Band, Radiohead, U2, R.E.M., The Smashing Pumpkins, Weezer, and Sting. I also like The Police, Cake, Tracy Chapman, Dire Straits, Nanci Griffith, Collective Soul, Simon and Garfunkel, and Neil Young. I don't like anything that could be classified as rap-metal. I don't like any rap. I don't like 90% of what gets played on the radio, meaning Backstreet Boys, Britney Spears, Celine Dion, N'Sync, Pink, Linkin Park, etc. As far as I'm concerned, that stuff is a good indicator of what's wrong with our society.
I also review video games occasionally, so I thought I'd say a little about that. The main thing is that I've never owned a game system that wasn't made by Nintendo. I have owned NES, SNES, N64, Gamecube, Game Boy, Game Boy Pocket, and Game Boy Advance. I am a true Nintendo fan. I know other systems have good games, but they just don't appeal to me the same way Nintendo does.
