I have been a avid camper, hiker and fisherman for most of my life. I also have, out of necessity (i.e. lack of $$) at times, done all of my own automobile and home repairs and upgrades. I am also a guitar player, who has played professionally for a couple or years and then semi-pro for about a dozen more, now playing "casual" for about 10 more years.
I am a self-professed gear-head. I love the tools of the trade and enjoy getting and trying out new stuff, to see if I can benefit from newer, better, lighter, etc.
I hope that I can help folks out in making decisions on gear and such. This type of on-line, easy-to-access information is invaluable, and I wish it had been around when I was buying stuff years ago.
