Hi everyone! My name is Lianne, and I'm an epinions-aholic. And a book-aholic, and a video-aholic, and...you get the idea. I tend to get these obsessions, where I find something that interests me and I immediately start learning or buying everything I can about it. Some of these interests have lasted longer than others. The ones that haven't diminished over time include collecting gemstones (mostly semi-precious, thanks to my abysmal finances), astrology, experimenting with the newest makeup and skin care products, and spending vast amounts of time on the Web.
Newer interests include ballet, collecting malas (prayer beads), listening to French and Spanish language study programs, tarot cards (by the way, I don't worship any malevolent deities or anything, but I do think that tarot is an effective divination tool), and most anything that falls under the heading of metaphysical or New Age. And of course, my newest obsession is writing epinions. Thanks to everyone who has taken a look at what I've written so far! And if you have any comments, please e-mail me or leave them at my reviews. I really love knowing what people think about my writing (yes, I have no life.) :)
Likes: animals (all kinds, except some humans), reading, my cell phone (see my review under Kyocera 2135), the Star Trek series (except the original and Enterprise), music, tidiness, the BeautyBuzz message board (where I post under the name teja1), Australian actors (mmmm.....Hugh Jackman), and learning anything I can about foreign cultures
Dislikes: cruelty and deliberate ignorance, insects, Jeff Goldblum, people who never end a sentence on message boards......they just create one long run-on......because they seem to fear punctuation..... (I was an uppity English major, can you tell?), and learning html
By the way, if you're wondering about my user name (pronounced mih-Reye-za), I came up with it after giving up in desperation because all the other names I wanted were already taken. It's a combination of two of my pets' names, Mindy and Risa (named after the planet from Star Trek - it's confirmed, she is a geek).
