Let me see, I'm not a pro writer, just an everyday woman in search of the best products from real consumers. And I in turn hope to do the same for other folks out there by writing reviews on products that I love and hate. Besides, there's nothing worse (well, yeah there is...lol...) than spending hard earned money on crap!! I just wish I had found this site years ago!!!
Other than that, I'm a full time mommy & wife. I've got the least paid job (which is a big fat zero) in the world, but I love every minute (maybe that's stretching the truth LOL).
I am enjoying reading reviews from some really great writers here on Epinions.com. I've learned a lot about products I'm not at all familiar with, which is a good thing. Overall it has been a great experience!!
Honestly in the beginning, I certainly didn't know that I could make a little pocket change writing reviews. Needless to say, that continues to be a nice plus to doing this.
Comments & Ratings
I will read and rate reviews in a fair manner and hope in turn others do the same for me. I don't hesitate to ask for help or advice from other epinion-ers when it comes to my reviews. If I write a review that needs more info, more of anything which will make it as good as possible, then I'm more than open to constructive feedback.
When I rate I don't rate based on spelling (I make my fair share of mistakes) or check to see if you've placed your punctuation marks in the right spot. However, I do enjoy reading a clean review (double spaced), logically laid out and thought through. I also like to read about the writer's personal experience with a product and not just the specifications of how it works or what it does.
I learned early on that reviews need to be as complete as possible with enough information to tell the reader everything he/she needs to know about a product and then some.
If I rate a review anything less than Very Helpful I will do my best to leave a comment as to why. If I ask you questions in the comment section don't take offense. I suppose I take the "do unto others approach" - I try to be constructive and helpful, just as I want other Epinion members to be to me. If I rate anything less than VH and you update your review I'm always game for reading it again and possibly re-rating it. But make sure you send me an email with the link (yeah, that's a hint:))
If I leave you Somewhat Helpful then I honestly think your review needs some work. But don't retaliate and leave me Somewhat Helpful on my Very Helpful reviews as that will only make me angry! At that point I will not trust you, you will probably have a hard time gaining the trust of other Epinion members and I will BLOCK you. Got it, Get it, Good. Any questions? Feel free to email me.
Now for some personal issues at hand, we are dreaming of another baby. Our little girl, our dream come true, is growing up so fast. I remember when the nurse first placed her in my arms. All I could do was cry. I couldn't believe our prayers had finally been answered and there I sat in a hospital nursery holding my precious baby. Now that tiny baby is asking for a brother or sister, but it's not that simple for us. So we begin our journey, once again, down the road toward adoption.
So, for those of you who believe in a "higher power" (I call mine God), please say a prayer for us. We are more than ready to add another little life to our family of 3.

In this very special area I had written about a little boy, 6 yr old JJ. JJ was diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumor in October 2005. JJ was a living angel and all those who knew him personally and those who came to know him through his story via his website www.jjsmiracle.com were blessed. My heart is heavy with grief as my little girl lost a friend she dearly loved and because a precious little boy fought a long hard battle against a monster that just could not be cured. As JJ's aunt said at his funeral Mass, JJ fought the battle and he won.
JJ was completely healed on January 31, 2007 when he was taken to Heaven.
Here in Alabama we just don't get snow very often. But on Feb 1, the very day after JJ's passing we woke to a beautiful blanket of white snow. Our circle of friends said JJ sent us that snow and I believe with all my heart that he did. JJ, thank you for that gift - and for sharing your beautiful life with us. We will miss you!
