I do not bring my personal feelings about a particular item into account when rating a review.
Since I am a writer by trade, reviews need have to be well-written to be Highly Recommended. An HR'd reviewer puts forth the effort to get their point across and gives the reader a good idea of the product so they can make educated buying decisions.
A "Recommend" from me usually means that the review was written well, but some questions remain about the product.
I rarely give "Somewhat Recommend." The review must be either poorly written or else not much effort was put into writing the review. Another way to receive an SR is to not have all the facts, or if your review is misleading.
I only give a "Not Recommend" if a review blatantly does not fit into the category it was put, or if no effort at all was put into the review. If information is blatantly wrong, this could also merit an NR.
