About raphael
|
I make a living doing Internet research and web design, plus some Perl bashing and a little of a lot of other things. Much of that work is done for cryptographer Bruce Schneier.
I maintain the Honeyguide Web Log (URL above), which provides links to the latest science news and whatever else catches my fancy. My past Web projects include an extensive list of things sold in vending machines. I'm currently working on a set of pages about the natural history of Minnesota, illustrated with my own digital photos. The first section of that project, "Dragonflies and Damselflies of Minnesota," will start going up Real Soon Now.
I love prairies, bogs, and deserts, and from April to October I try to get out for a day hike at least once a week.
While I'm recommending VCRs and digital recorders, people are dying for lack of medical treatments that could be provided for just a few dollars. I know that sounds like something your mother said when you didn't finish your peas, but it's still true. So I've decided to give my Eroyalties to UNICEF, and I would encourage others to do likewise. I'm sorry if that sounds sanctimonious, but I'm hoping to start a trend.
