THE BEGINNING:
Born in Battle Creek Michigan in the halcyon days of August 1965 (I am a Leo). My mother was born in Canada, and my Father's mother was born in Mexico, I guess that makes me a Mexadian. I also have a great deal of English in my bloodline, from my Mom's side. Graduated HS in 1983, went to college as a draftsman 1984-85, until my scholarship ran out, then decided it was time to play with guns and joined the army.
THE MOVE:
Joined the Army 1985 as a computer programmer - I still got to play with guns - and left with an honorable discharge in 1990. Moved to Indianapolis for the Army in '86 and never left.
FAMILY:
Wife, kids, house, the works.
'la raison pour étant': MUSICA:
Started playing guitar at 15 with a couple of other kids playing Judas Priest and AC/DC songs, and currently play with a local rock/metal 5-piece cover band called "Blackeye" - see our website at www.blackeye.com - I'm the short-haired guitarist. We're a professional rock/metal cover band (that means we get paid) and play a lot of bars, parties, fairs, that kind of thing. I am very serious about my music, and like most kinds of heavy or hard music, classical, big-band, rockabilly, blues, and most HARD alternative.
OTHER STUFF THAT AMUSES ME:
I love all things electronic, especially computers, and have had an electronic gaming addiction since about 1979. I work in IT as a computer software developer and DBA. I love action and horror movies, my favorites being anything to do with zombies - GEORGE ROMERO RULES! I hate love stories and any movie where nothing blows up or gets shot. I adore dogs and have a Male Miniature Schnauzer (Winston) whom I love like a son. I also really dig boating and watersports of all kinds. My sense of humor is sort of a cross between Monty Python's Flying Circus and Beavis & Butthead.
MY PHILOSOPHY ON LIFE, RELIGION, AND POLITICS:
I'm a pretty straightforward kind of guy, I don't like to beat around the bush, but prefer to get straight at the meat of the subject at hand. I don't have any use for political correctness, I'm more into brutal honesty. Politically, I guess you would classify me as a liberal, and damned proud of it. Liberty (the base word in "Liberal") is what this country was founded upon, and I am glad to carry on in that tradition. I vote Democratic and would rather eat a large maggoty turd than vote for a ANY Republican, since I'm not wealthy or a member of the elitist class. I do not tolerate religious zealotry, right-wing conservatism, neocons, moral crusaders or anyone else who thinks they can tell me what's right and wrong, and who would try and impose their will, morals, or values on me.
But enough about me.... :~)
