THE NAME "VARA":

In case you are wondering what the heck the name "vara" means, it's actually the word given for a Spanish engineering unit of measurement. I thought it would be kind of a cool (and appropriate) nickname since I am Hispanic after all and would be "measuring" products, if you will. Well, turns out it was a lame idea... the name has gotten me more questions than I can stand! Plus, plenty of members have made the mistaken assumption that I'm a female, I guess because "vara" may sound a little feminine. Hmm... I wish I had thought of that beforehand.
