Tip: If you're having problems finding a product try to google it's name then add epinions to it....

As an in Cars and Motorsports my responsibilities are to rate other members reviews (according to Epinions Rating Guidelines) to help shoppers find and read the best (most helpful) content first. Periodically I'll leave a constructive comment with advice as to how the member might improve on the quality of his or her content.

My ratings structure is similar if not parallel to the Epinions standards. If you've updated and improved your review please contact me and I'll take another look for a possible rerate.

Generally on low ratings I will leave a comment from time to time helping the member update or improve the review. I do appreciate when a fellow Epinionater corrects or improves their work from a comment I've posted.

The W-O-T or “Web of Trust”:

This is a very important feature which mostly benefits the site. When you trust another member it increases their influence on Epinions, namely their ratings power giving reviews a more prominent review placement. If I placed you on my trust I feel you’re a great asset to Epinions. You don't have to even write reviews, but if they're very helpful or when rating others reviews you consistently give an honest rate. Giving another member a low rate isn’t a bad thing, but if you feel you have some advice that will help the member improve their skills, by all means leave a constructive comment.

There are other factors to consider when deciding to add a member to your trust just as there are reasons to block someone. The block feature is specifically reserved for members who deliberately break the site rules or display other forms of abuse on the site. If I rated a review of yours I hope you'll check out and rate a few of mine and give it an honest rating. My reviews are unbiased giving the potential consumer hopefully enough information to purchase or not the product I reviewed. Also, I hope your not offended by receiving a less than VH rating. These days I spend as much time as possible researching the internet and stores before purchasing any new product. I can't tell you how many times I bought something and it became a big disappointment. On the other hand it's been money well spent.

On a personal note:

I do enjoy camping and kayaking in the summer months or the weekend getaways to Reno or Tahoe in the spring and fall. When it gets to the 100 degree mark here in Sacramento I can't wait to get to anyplace that has water. The American River is our favorite and it's only 5 minutes away.

I discovered youtube.com in early (07) by accident, once you've seen a couple videos you could be hooked for a while. See for yourself, I especially enjoyed the RC Helicopters, you won't believe this:
