I'm an editor, designer, actor, father of two, etc., and was once a film and drama critic (hence a tendency toward discursive, long-winded reviews). I am here because Epinions has helped me make some important purchases of late, and I felt it was time to give something back to the community.
I came to this place after Consumer Reports steered me wrong one too many times. Here, I discovered, I have a better chance of finding information on the exact model I'm considering (a major problem with Consumer Reports was that the available data often described a model I couldn't find on the shelf), and that it was more likely to be the type of information I really want: how the product works, over time, in real-world conditions.
I hope my own contributions will be useful, as yours have been to me.
