Pros: Easy to buy and sell items. Cons: Limited items available to list for sale. No buyer/seller communications.
Garage sale days are over for me now that I have discovered Half.com. This website makes buying and selling over the internet easy than I ever thought possible.
Lately, I have heard many stories about people making fortunes selling their stuff...

Pros: Simple way to list and sell your items (books, CD's,videos, DVD's and games and MORE! Cons: Very difficult to resolve 'problems' quickly due to S-L-O-W customer service via e-mail.
Half.com is a wonderful resource for those of us looking for a specific title or item at a fraction of the price. Maybe you want to sell some items that you just don't need, but are a little fearful to list on eBay or another auction site. Half.com has ...

Pros: Vast selection of products, great for the buyer. Cons: Awful for the seller, absolutely no communication allowed with customers.
Ok, so maybe I got a little pampered by Ebay, or maybe I just had a bad experience, I'll admit that, but Half.com produced an absolute nightmare for me, and here is my story.
I started selling on Half.com about 4 months ago, after finding out...

Pros: It's not an auction site, no waiting around for days waiting and hoping you win. Cons: Shipping costs can be pricey.
Greetings
Hi, it's Rob again. While sitting in my studio apartment here, waiting for my phone to ring (my agent said he would call me and for me not to call him, so here I wait), I decided to write my second Epinion on one of The Icemans...

UPDATE 9/02: Half.com is now fully integrated in eBay's system, and things have improved somewhat. For that reason, I've raised my rating from "Avoid it" to "Below Average," because there's still work to be done. Buyer/Seller Ratings are now...

Pros: Find out of print books for cheap! Sell your old books and make money! Cons: Wish they'd send checks faster, addicting, search sometimes is not good.
I love this site. I love this site. I LOVE THIS SITE.
Did I mention I love this site?

Pros: CHEAP books! Cons: Would like to see a story synopsis along with each book listed
Ok, I am a book worm extraordinaire! I love to read, but our local library doesn't have the best selection and the cost of printing has sent book prices sky high in recent years. Selection and prices are two reasons I love Half.com! Here are details...

Pros: cheap prices, big selection, everything is usually in really good condition Cons: buyer/seller communication is poor, arrives in about a week
This is a website that I was very happy to find. It came to my mailbox with a coupon, so since I was looking for a book I needed for school I decided that I would try to look for it on there thinking to myself that it probably would not be there also...

Pros: Fast, efficient, cheap. Cons: Could improve shipping options.
It's one of those books you just can't seem to find anywhere, a specialty book, out of print and enough weren't printed in the original run to make it a used book commodity. You've run a search and come up empty. All the ones in the library have either...

Pros: There are lots of GREAT deals on this site!! Cons: You have to trust the seller is honest & reliable.
When I visted half.com for the first time, I was very skeptical about the way their service was operated. Like ebay, you have to instill a large amount of trust in the person you're buying from, because it is entirely in their hands how smoothly the...

Pros: low prices, large selection, easy to use Cons: can't ask seller questions about their merchandise
I started looking at Half.com about a year ago when I was looking for a book that even my local bookstore didn't carry and they wanted to charge me an extra five dollars to order an already 30 dollar book. I didn't want to pay that so I started...

Pros: no insertion fee for items that do not sell Cons: slow website - total commissions higher than eBay for items more than $3
In this review, I discuss the pros and cons of listing (selling) relative low-priced items (less than $25) on Half.com vs listing them on eBay. Tips for buyers are implied.
My experience as a seller has been selling music CDs and books on...
