i think it was the free shipping, or the modest dollar amount needed to ship free that helped complete the transaction. i.e. it was either $29 or $19, while musician's friend is free only after $99, although they'll waive that if you compare shop. Those seem like the two biggest online music stores, or perhaps Interstate music is up there too. It would be interesting to see who does the most volume. I might be surprised.

Not the first time I ask music123.com to match/beat another retailer price, as usual they offered a better deal within 24 hours. This time they beat a 17% memorial discount from someone else. The whole process was smooth, product arrived on time and in perfect condition.

Products were fairly easy to locate on the site, and it was easy to compare different products before purchasing. Customer service is either very slow to get a response from, responds inappropriately to an issue, or doesn't respond at all.

I placed an order for an "out of box" guitar at a very reasonable price. However, someone else hit the "Send" button before I did, I'm told. The item was not available. I rec'd a nice email and was offered a discount on the factory sealed item. I was very disappointed that I missed the "deal." The offered discount was a nice touch, but it still felt like "bait & switch." Thanks for asking. It seems like a genuine company.
