Recently purchased a Sea Eagle 380x. Fairly decent Kayak for its price. Found it very difficult to paddle in flat water which is completely opposite of what the web site stated (They stated that it's perfect for hours and hours of flat water paddling....
I have had a 14 ft sea eagle transom boat with all the possible accessories for about 4 years. I am starting to experience air leaks at the bow seams that I have been unable to fix.Until this started I liked the boat and have always kept it covered on a carpeted trailer.
Other problems were peeling transom paint and deck bowing up.
In fairness they did send me a new front deck section but not the current fix,that would have been 50$ more.
I have emailed Sea Eagle for any suggestions but so far have had no reply.
Customer service was good back when it was new and I still hope to hear from them,but Buyer Beware.[ 2 stars max]
I wish I had spent the extra money for a Zodiac or better.

I recently purchased a Sea Eagle 6ft motor mount boat. It had a slow leak. Jerry , in customer service, sent a new boat to the Dominican Republic in four days.
This was one of the most responsive and service-oriented customer service experiences I've ever had. Living in the Dominican Republic, it is very difficult to see a company stand behind their products like Sea Eagle .

I have owned a 380x for 5 years and have used it for hundreds of great hours on Texas and Arizona lakes. I made a rudder for it that I work with my feet and later added a home made sail rig. Sea Eagle carries various parts like D-rings and glue that come in handy when making modifications to their boats. This boat is so easy to transport in a small car and after 5 years of use shows little signs of wear. I have ordered various parts from the web site over the years and have had excellent service from them. The newer foot pumps have both high volume and pressure and are nice when the boat need to be inflated where 12 volts is not available.
