Tiger Direct Online Store

This is basically an update to a previous review of mine. When ordering a samsung flat panel television, the website says "in stock, order today, ships today". In fact, I even checked online the status of my order the day I ordered it, and they said it left their warehouse and was in the hands of a third party shipper. Do not believe any of it. I ordered it over a week ago and paid second day air. Still is not here. I called this morning and they said it was going to be shipped later this week and refused to refund the extra shipping, saying it is 2 days from whenever they decide to ship it. So, I just cancelled the entire order. If you need something in a timely manner, i would NOT recommend Tiger Direct.com.

I almost always check Tiger directs website when I need a item for my PC. I have always got great service and speedy service from them. Tiger usually has a good choice of items and frequently they have overstock, refurbished or close out type items at really good prices.

I called Tiger Direct to ask about system requirements for a product, since it wasn't listed with the product.  I couldn't have been more specific, telling the agent what I had (older mac I-book, operating 10.3).  '...oh yeah, it will work with that...'  I was told.  When I got the product, it very clearly would not work with what I had.  Since it was supposed to be a gift, it was doubly disappointing.  What a waste of time.  If I ran a business with employees like that, I would be out of business!

Horrible, horrible site to get rebates from.

On another site there is a forum dedicated to places that aren't very good at actually paying people when they send in rebates. - This site is in the top 15.

Don't get me wrong however, I order from them frequently. - Good deals on projector screens, basic wires, harder to find items, etc.

Don't buy cell phones and plans from Tiger Direct. Better off to buy direct from phone company even though price is slightly higher. For a little discount after rebates, you will end up with poor quality/refurbished/used phones that is inoperable until phone co. is involved or until ship back to TigerDirect which would take another 10 days or upfront deposit equal to original purchase price. Cust serv is terrible as you will be transfer to David, Jane, Mike, Lisa, Laura, Smith, etc..w/o getting anything resolved. Expect delay in delivery, several calls back to Tiger to provide add'l info b/c cust svc did not obtain necessary info when placing order, and rebate nightmare/restrictions where you may not get $.

As always, TigerDirect.com was very good, quick servise good quality, cool styles, cool colours,easy ordering, and i got my printer within two days.

I've ordered several products from Tiger Direct, and they are one of the fastest shippers I've dealt with. Based on other reviews I've read here and elsewhere, I would avoid buying anything from Tiger Direct that offers a rebate.

Tiger Direct's online ordering system needs help, though... I tried placing my last order online, and I got several "error" messages that made no sense whatsoever while entering my shipping address. I gave up after my third try, and called them. The customer service rep was courteous and helpful, and the order arrived in two days.

I purchased a Systemax P4 2.8G HT complete system from Tiger Direct. The price for any comparable system was not even close, and the value for the money here was excellent. My order was processed efficiently, after answering a few questions for verification, and a slightly lengthy hold time. The system was shipped in exactly the length of time promised, and the machine and peripherals work just fine. Also, the system isn't crammed full of useless desktop ISP offers and software, a BIG plus. Customer service was friendly and efficient when checking order status and giving you UPS tracking info. Their website also made it easy to check on your order. The ONLY downside is a slightly small monitor, so get the upgrade if you buy a complete system. I personally can't understand what all the whining is about from so many others.

I see many negative reviews on here for TigerDirect but I can only go by my own experience.
I placed a large order that included several items with rebates on 11/30/06.
All the items arrived on or ahead of schedule in good working order.
After the items arrived I completed the online rebate registrations and eventually mailed the rebates on 12/30/06 (the last day for them to be valid).
It is now 1/11/07 and between 1/4 and 1/11 I received email confirmation of acceptance on all $270 in rebates. The confirmations told me the rebate checks would be mailed between 2/3 and 2/10 but...
I have already started receiving my rebate checks! My first rebate check arrived just 11 days (7 business days) after mailing the claim. I have never received a rebate this fast from any other company.

Ordered an LCD monitor with $60 rebate. Monitor that arrived had a different UPC than that listed on the rebate form. Tiger Direct had no solution for this other than to return the product. So, a waste of time and I still don't have a monitor. Going with NewEgg for now on.

Long, long story short: Tigerdirect.com advertised a system bundle on sale with a $90 rebate promotion. Turns out it required submitting 3 rebates to get the full amount, but one of the rebates made available by Tiger Direct was not within the dates stipulated by the manufacturer and its rebate fulfillment service. Tiger Direct's customer service is either incompetent or trying to side step the issue to wear me down. They acknowledge their website had erroneous rebate information yet refuse to make good by giving me a store credit or refund for the $20 their error cost me. After 12 days and over 20 emails, I have given up and am posting the results of my interactions with Tiger Direct / Tigerdirect.com to this and other reseller ratings sites.

Purchased 3 open box printers.
Advertised as nearly new and thoroughly checked by qualified technicians.

2 of printers DOA.
Missing power supply.
One that worked had scratches and cracked case.
Missing cables.
Missing Ink Cartridges.
poorly packaged.
Returned at my expense next day.
Credited only cost of printers.
Then credited shipping after many phone calls.

Good shop. Very low prices. My order was delayed due to security reasons (I changed my location recently) but security is security... Customer support guys helped to solve the problem and I finally got my product.

Constanly update you with new deal (rather too offen, but I like it).

TigerDirect and their rebate arm OnRebate.COM should be in prison for fraud. As a first time customer I made three purchases. They have honored zero of the $280 in rebates they owe me. I got lucky on one of the items and refused receipt of it when they denied the rebate even existed. On the other two I was not so lucky and 4 months after filing no less than 10 separate rebate forms with OnRebate.com, I have received no checks. None, zip, zilch, nada, nunca.

My Mastercard won't refund the missing rebates. The State of Florida Attorney General must be on the take as he is "monitoring the situation". My complaint did nothing there. The web is so full of fraud complaints against both Tiger Direct and OnRebate.com that it boggles the imagination.

I find it "interesting" that this site posts such a high rating for this seller, as though they filter their input. Probably means I am wasting my time writing this review.

These guys are really professional. Never had a problem with anything I got from them. If I did, the return policy is not like the box computer stores. No restocking charge. Great! Prices are very competitive. Ordering from them is peace of mind.
