In an effort to save money and free up extra time to enjoy the holiday season, my husband and I started Christmas shopping very early this year. We have already finished buying gifts for many of the family and friends on our list, and both of us are ...
Having been an avid radio-controlled hobby enthusiart for many years (from buggies, to trucks to airplanes to boats) I have been shopping Tower hobbies and other mail-order hobby shops since before there were such things as websites and E-commerce...I...
Los Angeles is a very big city. To get to any certain place could take as long as 50 minutes with traffic. Being a patient person, I often order things that I don't need right away on the internet. This includes hobby supplies for my r/c car.

I've dealt with this company for years and have always been OK with them, though their $8.99 flat shipping makes it hard to deal with them on the small stuff. I recently bought a "flight pack" for electronic RC flying. The picture purportedly showed ...
Tower Hobbies is possibly one of the best hobby stores available online for radio controlled hobbies. They have a huge selection of products, I have never found something which they did not carry.
I've ordered from Tower Hobby for several years now, for my own hobby needs as well as those of my two teenage sons. I've probably had at least three dozen transactions with them, and almost every one has been shipped in a very timely manner with ...
I've been shopping on-line at Tower Hobbies for just over a year now. Shipping to Canada is slow averaging 3-4 weeks but I've been able to endure it. I like that they always have stock of a wide variety of product most of the time. My on-line ...
Pros: Easy to navigate site, good prices Cons: None
If you've been looking far and wide for that one car or model, but can't find it anywhere, look at Tower Hobbies. This is a great online store if you can't seem to find it anywhere. Aside from paying shipping (standard with all internet stores), this is...
I ordered the 1/18 diecast batmobile elite back in march 08. The car was a limited production and needed to be preordered by Tower. I just received a postcard July 21 stating that the item has been discontinued and that my backorder has been canceled. They sent me a $3 coupon for my trouble. Are You kidding me? The item is not discontinued it was limited production all along and Tower either sold more than they were allotted or decided to sell them for more on Ebay. Customer service was no help at all as they just said "oh well sorry" First and last time I do business with a company that does business in this manner! Beware!
Caveat Emptor - Consult a person within the Hobbie by tucsonone ,Jul 02 '07
Tower Hobbies has shipped incomplete items... Missing hardware bags etc. Will not honor products sold, telling people to refer to the manufacturer. Please support your local hobby shop, or search the internet a bit more for better businesses that will provide customer support for the products sold. If you use a coupon code expect your items not to be shipped with a "tracking number". Be aware that descriptions on "Scratch and Dent" items not are not accurate. I purchased a "New/No damage" item with 60% of the required items to build missing. I have also noticed that item "suggestions" that are "required" to finish a plane etc. are not relevant to the finished product. It seems to be a tactic to make money by selling useless related products for completion.
Not flexible dealing with issues. by professor422 ,Jul 26 '06
I have made four orders from Tower, two were over ten years ago and I gave rave reviews re: Tower Hobbies ever since. My last two orders were both poorly executed, and I can no longer recommend doing business with Tower. My first order they missed a part and then refused to just send it with my next order or give me a credit. They would only send it to me via regular US mail and didn't care what I wanted to do to settle the issue. The second order (which in retrospect I shouldn't have placed) was a partial back-order that they then figured out they could ship from their second wharehouse. Unfortunately somewhere in the loop they forgot they sent it the first time, and when it showed up in the first wharehouse, they sent it again, and charged me for it. Again, they are inflexible and unwilling to resolve the matter quickly or efficiently. It's their way or the highway at Tower.
Tower has an excellent selection at great prices and the shipping is always fast. by owentl ,Jun 04 '09
Tower hobbies is one of the best hobby shops! They have a great selection of RC equipment. Their prices are great especually with the coupon codes and shipping is very fast. If I purchase any RC items online it is from Tower!
When I ordered on-line the country came up on my order as VANUATU-NEW HEBRIDES not the UK. I changed this and carried on.Tower however shipped to VANUATU-NEW HEBRIDES despite there being no town call Sleaford there. When I spotted the mistake I e-mailed Tower. It became my fault and I have to wait until the original is returned or pay for a re-order, Not Happy
