Poor customer service, no delivery of goods.

Purchased a tv stand online from walmart.com to be delivered at the nearby store. Credit card was charged immediately, after two weeks I get an email that the delivery is delayed indefinitely and to call customer service for a "prompt refund". Now the real nightmare begins, customer service took half an hour (expected time given was 8min) to connect to a rep, the rep tells me she is trying to contact the store and would need to do that before providing any update. Half an hour goes by and I am still on hold, the rep is on hold for the store, then I request to speak to a manager. Manager comes and says to hold and she will try to call store, again on hold for half an hour. After this manager updates, the store is unreachable, please stay on hold, we cannot tell you how long you will have to wait or give any sort of refund.
I sent a similar email to help@walmart.com and the refund was done promptly.

Walmart.com is the best!

I'm an online shopaholic. I really love the conveinence of it. Now when I do go to the store, I like Walmart, Kmart and Sears.But there is strong anti-Walmart sentiment here so when I do want to go to Walmart It's a $6.00 toll and 25 miles round trip.
Which brings us to Walmart.com It allows me to get my Walmart fix from the comfort of my home.
Yes you do pay reasonable shipping and local tax but hey!
They're good!
The orders are filled and shipped immediatley. I never had to wait more than a few days to receive my order. Sometimes overnight! at no extra charge,either!
The prices are competitive but not the lowest around.Especially with electronic equipment. That's where you do need to shop around. BUT Walmart has a fantastic return policy in that there is usually free return shipping and a no questions asked policy. That's important.
Other items like software, music and such I like them for their low prices and liberal return policy.
I like Walmart. Both the store and online. They really help you to stretch your shopping dollar. From my point of view as a consumer, I'm a fan.

Christmas with Walmart.com is the way to go

Christmas time is when i find myself with Walmart.com . I have never had a problem with any orders from walmart online ever in the past times i have ordered. There delivery service was on time scheduled give or take a day. The product came as ordered.
I had a return once It turned out to be a color that wasn't working for me I called for help and my customer service was very reasurring and helpful.

Walmart.com is the absolute worst web purchasing experience I have ever had. On two separate occasions they have canceled my order without notifying me, after promising delivery by a particular date. In another situation, I ordered next-day air delivery and they somehow arranged for UPS ground instead. I paid $21 for ground delivery?? Perhaps the most frustrating thing is that there is no customer service numbers to call - you can only send email, and it often takes days for them to respond. This is how the biggest merchandiser in the world treats its customers?
I'm sure if there are no glitches in your order, you probably aren't aware of the problems in their customer service. But if you ever need to contact them, watch out. I will never order from walmart.com again, and I would urge you to think twice before you do.

I found shopping on wal-Mart.com to be really easy, cheap, and the shipment was fairly quick. For new books, I would recommend this over amazon.com anytime.

My experience was awesome...i ordered the Mr. Coffee espresso/coffee maker on a Thursday and received the very next day!! Couldn't believe how fast the shipping was!! Would definitely order from them again!! Great price as well!!

As for Walmart on line, it's a joke! It will say one price for the item when you search for the lowest price and when you click on it, it is NOT the price. I called the main office and they advised me that prices change. They also advised me that they cannot control every site that uses their name, legally or illegally. The two people I spoke with on the phone were somewhat hateful and did not offer for me to speak to a supervisior. I knew at that point, I was getting no where. This experience was two weeks ago. I accepted defeat and went back today to find the same item and it is still one price of $19.99 and when you click to buy it is amazingly $44.00. I'm from Oklahoma, right next door to Arkansas where Walmart started and they have forgotten about the rural folks who have no where else to shop but Walmart. Hey Walmart, we have computers here in the woods too and we know when we are getting screwed from our brother in Arkansas.

I bought a baby saucer from Wal-Mart.com just a few weeks ago. I was able to look at a bunch of different saucers and get discriptions of each one very easily. I was also able to enlarge the pictures of the products very easily. It was very easy to place an order and i even was able to pay online with ease. I also was able to use gift cards from there online too. Within a week my package arrived with no problems what so ever. And the nice thing about it all is that if i have any problems with the product i purchased i can easily return it to any Wal-Mart around me.

Bad Shipping, Manufacturer reject products sold at retail

I just purchased a 500.00 LCD from Walmart.com. You would think when you pay top dollar for a product that you can get somewhere else at the same price that you would get a normal retail product. Wrong!! The LCD I received had 42 dead pixels!! Count them, 42! 4 of which were stuck on red and 90% in the top, center part of the screen. VERY OBVIOUS!! And very obvious that walmart purchases factory reject electronics to get the best price and then sales these crippled products to the unsuspecting public at full retail price!! Walmart should have to answer for their sneaky and deceptive practices.

The photo processing is fantastic.

The photo department is fantastic. You need to download their software which is no problem. Then, you can order prints and have them delivered to yourself or to the nearest Walmart store.
I used the one-hour service to get my new granddaughter's pictures and they were ready on time and just as I ordered. Walked into the store and had pictures to show.
The prices are great. You can't print at home for these prices.
Give it a try.

Beware of the site to store offer. I ordered a toy that route and it never showed up. Walmart then cancelled my order threee weeks later without any apologies. Apparently my item was lost in the store (suprise, suprise). Luckily target.com had it. I always have issues with Walmart.

At Walmart.com, next day shipping = 4 days!
Before & after placing the order, their website systematically shows false delivery dates.
Some examples:
- Showing an estimated arrival of Tuesday-Wednesday, when they don't even ship the product until Wednesday evening!
- Listing a product as being shipped a day before it has.
Isn't this fraud & illegal?
They also bury their customer service number deep in their website so that it is hard to contact a live person. But this actually does not matter since when you get through to a live person, there is really nothing they can, or will do to help.
Walmart ships at least some product from vendors, which apparently they have no control over, or simply don't care to influence.
This was by far the worst online buying experience I have ever had. Essentially, their false delivery dates ruined a family function. I would be hard pressed to shop at any Walmart business ever again.
