web site said it would take 5 to 10 days for delivery, after 10 days I used the sites instant message service and was told someone would get back to me re status...on day 14 I called and was told because the item ships from the maker, they could not tell me the status. I contacted the MFG, they were outstanding, tracked the order and gave complete details. 4 days after I recieved the item, I got the Boatersworld e-mial telling me it was shipped.

Made the mistake of calling in order. Sales associates had very strong accents which I had trouble understanding. Took 3 phone calls to correct the order due to communication difficulties. After finally getting the order correct, I was pleased with the prompt delivery and quality of the products.

You got me my product as soon as it became avaible,and the service was very good. We liked it so much that we went to your local Boaters World and bought our VHF radio and all the things needed to put it on a mast to keep track of the boats from the house. We will go back to the Tallassee store soon,but would like to have a catalog.

The only good experience was when I contacted management and notified the Better Business Bureau!
I will shop at the Boaters World Stores which are not the same as the offshore ripoff!
They speak lousey English and have no understanding of United states Retail businees ehics or service!
Their management team was exceptional with the return of all purchased items that were not as described in their adds or compatible as also described and having my accounts credited accordingly!

received two seats, one with holes in it. requested pre-paid freight back, which happened, but wasn't credited with original freight amount. called in, was told I didn't get it back, got mad, then got it. receieved e-mail saying "order sent" so I thought seats had been re-shipped. No seats showed up, so I ordered from a different company. I was left with the feeling that no-one cared whether my order was filled or not, and if I'm going to spend $400 I expect to get two seats with no holes.

Customer support is the worst (India?) and can't communicate.
Lots of items not in stock, so long delays in shipping. Only shopped this time because I received a gift certificate.
Won't shop at Boatersworld online again.

Extra effort needed to get Boater's World to honer stated sale price. No comformation of sale price anytime during the oder process. Customer service calls were useless. A physical store personel contacted the on-line dept. to resolve the issue. Will use site to research items only. Will not purchase on-line from Boater's World again. Will purchase from a store location only.

I received a chart chip which was two years old. When I called customer service I was transferred to an outsourced foreign answering service who spoke very poor english, who had absolutely no understanding of the nature of my problem, and who had no understanding of boating, who promised to send me a return authorization in a week - which never happened. I finally had to go to C-map themselves to resolve the problem.
