Pros: cheaper than eBay Cons: no customers
I have been selling on online auctions for about 2 years now. I am a firm believer that eBay is the best for a buyer and a seller's point of view and what Yahoo did recently with their auction site just cemented that fact.
I used to use Yahoo...

Pros: FREE listings, no commissions Cons: kind of cumbersome to navigate
I am currently unable to work at a regular job due to a chronic and debilitating illness. However, despite the fact that my income has been reduced by more than 75% and I still have all the regular bills~mortgage, utilities, insurance, and etc. I am...

Pros: None Cons: High Listing fees, Poor service, Restricted catagories, subserviant to french petty officials.
Yahoo which was the up and coming number 2 site has gone so far down hill that it should be listed as required study in corporate incompetance. First off some yuppies clown came up with the idea to charge for a listing at yahoo problem is that they do...

Pros: free, Your closed auctions are easy to maintain Cons: lots of deadbeat bidder and site is hard to navigate
I admit I like Ebay a lot more than yahoo. It is true that Yahoo is harder to navigate but since I have been using it quite a bit it is now a lot easier.
the biggest reason I use Yahoo is because its free. Ebay charges can get overwhelming...

Pros: easy to navigate Cons: not much of a bargain
I discovered Ebay a few months ago and have become an ebay junkie. I decided to check Yahoo out thinking I might find some great bargains there too and have two sites to surf. However, I found that most of the auctions on Yahoo appear to be people...

Pros: Reasonable number of users, Many obscure items for auction Cons: You won't find everything, Not as many options as eBay
Yahoo is a great auction site. There are many obscure items available there and it seems to have quite a good user base. I would have to admit, however, that Yahoo pales in comparison to eBay. While you can find some thing on Yahoo, eBay seems to have...

Pros: good service Cons: Somewhat disorganized
I have seen others' opinions on Yahoo Auctions and eBay. Most of us agree, Yahoo just doesn't compare to eBay. Yahoo has good services, but eBay seems to have it together. They are more polished and organized. The selection is much greater which...

Pros: Not much Cons: Unreliable members, limited variety
I have had a few experiences with Yahoo Auctions. It was the first auction site I had ever been to. Then I found out about ebay and I rarely went back to Yahoo.
First of all, on Yahoo Auctions, there are many undependable sellers. You will...

Pros: Free service, buying made easier with less competition Cons: Not as much exposure as eBay, selling is more difficult and trickier
As an attempt to save money on listing items on eBay, I have tried Yahoo! Auctions as an alternative. It is free to list items, which seems like a big plus at first. It is also relatively easier to navigate than eBay. But eBay still comes out on top....

Pros: Free. Cons: Small market. No selling power.
As a seller I use eBay rather than Yahoo auctions simply because eBay has "selling power," and so far, Yahoo doesn't. Yahoo may be free, but my Uncle Joe drummed three things into me when I was a kid:
1) "you get what you pay...

Pros: Buyer's Protection program and no fees Cons: minor yahoo computer system glitches
I started auctioning in Oct.99 on eBay, I was doing quite well at first until their fees started eating into my profits. Then I found yahoo :), no fees, and unlimited auctions (only 1000 allowed as of recent). I was able to sell a few items the first...

Pros: canned responses at time Cons: site always up, no fees, buy now prices
I have been selling on Yahoo for over two years. I have seen the improvements, the disasters and the mediocre occurences there. To often times this site is compared to Ebay, those stating it is second to Ebay. While this may be true due to the traffic,...

Pros: might be able to find bargains Cons: too little of stuff
I've used Yahoo a great deal when they used to have free listings many months back. I liked it because it was pretty good at finding buyers for some of my auctions. Ever since Yahoo has started charging people for auctions, there seems to be a lot less...

Pros: Free, Easy to use,Growing Cons: not as much traffic as e-bay
I buy and sell on many auction sites and I must say , as far as selling goes, this one is my favorite. Everything is very simple and the best part is...it's free! I like e-bay but you really can't beat free...at least in my opinion. Now true you don't...
